The Group IV Semiconductors Materials and Devices community is a powerful community that has been making significant and serious contributions in all aspects of academic and industrial worlds. This G4MD website provides a platform to communicate and promote recent and important developments in group IV materials science and device processing for applications in photonics, optoelectronics, electronics, and quantum technologies.

The website is built by academic and industrial research teams which are active on the fabrication of (new) Group IV semiconductor materials, the understanding of their material properties and their implementation in novel electrical and optical device concepts. The community also organizes a series of strong conferences offering excellent forums to discuss the latest research activities on Group IV semiconductors as well as learning and networking opportunities. This website is the facade of these efforts and reflects the quality and the serious work behind the G4MD community.
